Five New Fertilizer Countries Will Not Be Registered

In light of the strict management of registration certificates and labels in fertilizer spot checks, Liu Hongfang, deputy director of the National Chemical Fertilizer Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, said that a fertilizer registration certificate allows one or more product labels, and allows a single nutrient content, suitable range, and instructions for use. There are differences with packaging specifications.

Liu Hongfang pointed out that the following five types of new fertilizers will not be registered by the Ministry of Agriculture:

First, the raw material composition may have potential use risks, or products that still need to explore the effects of their use.

Second, the ordinary fertilizer products through a simple process of mixed processing, product performance has not been significantly improved, and the technical indicators of unstable products.

Third, the organic water-soluble fertilizers do not have a complete set of equipment and conditions for the degradation of organic waste, and only the raw materials are processed through a simple process of mixing and processing. For example, the registered products that apply for the microelement water soluble fertilizer granulation are mainly used for blending fertilizer raw materials. Considering the scientific and safety considerations in the use of fertilizers, water-soluble fertilizers for pelleting trace elements will not be registered.

Fourth, there is no mature standard method, or the submitted inspection method can not be used for product quality inspection qualified products.

5. Selenium is not used as a technical indicator for fertilizer registration.
