Tractor job attention

In northern regions, it's recommended to use 11# diesel engine oil for optimal lubrication and reduced mechanical wear. In contrast, 14# diesel engine oil is more suitable for southern areas due to the different climatic conditions. Choosing the right lubricant ensures smooth operation and extends the life of the machinery. During summer operations, it's important to adjust the position of the lubricant radiator reversing valve. Make sure the oil passage to the radiator is open so that the engine oil can effectively dissipate heat. This helps maintain a stable operating temperature and prevents overheating, which could lead to serious damage. In the summer, tractors tend to heat up quickly, increasing the risk of the water tank "boiling over." To prevent this, regularly add cold soft water to the water tank. However, avoid adding water immediately after the tank has boiled. Instead, run the engine at low speed and low throttle for a while until the temperature drops before refilling. This prevents thermal shock that could cause engine stress or even cracking. To avoid overheating, it's advisable not to operate the tractor continuously for long periods. Take regular breaks every few hours to check the tire temperature, water temperature, oil temperature, and overall machine temperature. If any of these temperatures are too high, allow the system to cool down before resuming work. Tire maintenance is crucial during hot weather. Avoid leaving the tractor parked in direct sunlight for extended periods, as excessive heat can cause tires to overheat and potentially blow out. Ensure tire pressure remains within the manufacturer’s specified range—overinflating increases the risk of explosion. If the tire temperature becomes too high during operation, move the tractor to a shaded area to let it cool gradually. Never pour cold water directly onto hot tires, as this can cause uneven cooling and damage the tread or internal structure. Lastly, protect the battery from direct sunlight. High temperatures can cause the electrolyte to heat up, leading to warping of the plates, loss of active material, and damage to the separators. Keeping the battery in a shaded area helps maintain its performance and longevity.
