At present, the batch of imported wines in question has been disposed of in accordance with relevant regulations in China.

According to reports, copper as a trace element is normally beneficial to the human body, but excessive intake may cause copper poisoning, leading to nerve damage. According to expert analysis, the possible sources of copper in the imported wines mentioned above are: first, the absorption of copper in the soil; second, contact with metal container tools in the production process of wine brewing, filtration, etc., and the increase of metal materials such as copper and iron in wine; Third, excessive spraying of pesticides before grape harvesting will result in the addition of more copper ions to the epidermis of grapes, which will increase the copper content of the wine after fermentation.

According to statistics, since 2000, thanks to the economic recovery, Ukrainian wine production and exports of wine have increased rapidly due to soaring market demand, coupled with the government's lack of a corresponding wine product quality management system and the absence of any wine quality inspections. Institutions, a large proportion of counterfeit and shoddy products appeared on the Ukrainian market.

The inspection and quarantine department reminded consumers to purchase imported wine in three ways: look at the business license and buy safe drinks from regular businesses.
