Pharmacological effects

1. Seed decoction has excitatory effects on isolated intestine in guinea pigs. 1-Acetoxycocyanol acetate 5, 10g/kg intraperitoneal injection, inhibition of gastric ulcer caused by ligation of the pylorus in rats. 1-Acetoxypiperonyl acetate and 1-acetoxy eugenol acetate had significant anti-gastric ulcer effects in Shay rats, and the inhibition rate was 2-5mg/kg and 5-10mg/kg respectively after intraperitoneal injection. It is 20-77% and 36-100%.

2. Antifungal and cytotoxic effects: This product contains Galanal A(1), Galanal B(2), Galanolactone(3), (E)-8(17), 12-Labddiene-15, 16-dial(4) and (E)-8B(17)-Epoxylabd-12-ene-15,16-dial(5) has antifungal and cytotoxic effects.

3. Anticancer activity: A variety of compounds were isolated from the methanol extract of the fruit, and 1-acetoxy-piperonyl ethyl ester and 1-acetoxy-eugenol acetate were injected into the mice intraperitoneally with 10 mg/kg. The dose, for 5 consecutive days, was found to have strong anticancer activity. The latter's toxicity is lower than the former. Compared with other synthetic components, 1-acetoxy is important for anticancer activity, and its mechanism of action is estimated to be related to nucleophilic attack.
