Fertilizing method for vegetable field soil

In the first step, increasing the use of fertilizers and improving soil quality by incorporating a large amount of well-decomposed organic manure, while also using chemical fertilizers as a supplement, can significantly enhance soil structure. This process helps convert the nitrogen in organic materials into ammonium nitrogen through microbial activity. As microorganisms break down the organic matter further, nitrite and then nitrate nitrogen are formed. These inorganic forms of nitrogen can be absorbed by soil microbes, which then use them to synthesize proteins. When these microbial proteins decompose, they release nitrate nitrogen, which becomes a valuable nutrient source for vegetables. Secondly, when introducing new vegetable fields, it's advisable to start with crops that require lower water and fertilizer inputs, such as peas, mustard, and onions. After cultivating 1-2 seasons of these low-demand crops, the soil will have improved in structure and fertility. At this point, higher-demand vegetables like Chinese cabbage, tomatoes, and cucumbers can be planted, ensuring better growth and yield. Thirdly, implementing a rational crop rotation system not only allows for more efficient use of soil nutrients and water but also enhances biological activity, leading to better soil health and increased production. Additionally, proper crop rotation helps reduce pest and disease outbreaks, promoting high-quality and high-yield vegetables. In suitable areas, integrating food crops and green manures into the rotation cycle can further improve the ecological balance of the vegetable fields. Fourth, applying formula fertilization in vegetable fields is crucial. It's important to mix nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium in the right proportions, avoiding excessive use of single-nitrogen fertilizers. This prevents negative impacts on plant growth and reduces the risk of harmful salt accumulation in the vegetables. Lastly, in regions where green manure is appropriate, it's beneficial to grow green manure crops in between vegetable cycles. This practice not only enriches soil fertility but also supports a sustainable and organic farming system, ensuring long-term land productivity and environmental health.
