The wild jujube resources on Pute Island in Tangshan Bay are very rich. In order to make full use of this resource, in May of this year, we changed some jujube into jujube so that they can be picked by visitors after they survive. During the grafting process, the author noticed the relationship between grafting method, grafting time, sealing wax, wax sealing, and survival rate. The experience and results are described below.
First, rootstock. Choose the wild jujube that is less than 3 years old and has a thickness of 1.5 to 2 cm on the island of Puti, which is smooth and well-grown and suitable for grafting.
Second, varieties and scion cut. The grafted varieties were selected from the mother's mother's date in Fengrun District of Tangshan City. The scions were selected to be robust and full of buds with a primary branch of 0.8 to 1.2 cm in diameter without pests. The scion was cut into 5 to 8 cm sections, one for each section, with 1.5 cm clipping on the buds and 5 to 6 cm on the buds.
Third, scion sealing wax. Melt the wax with the induction cooker. The induction cooker was placed on the pot and the paraffin purchased from the shop was placed in a pot and heated to 110°C. Then cut the scion in the wax for 1 second and quickly throw it into cold water for later use.
Fourth, sealing wax scion storage. Scion sealing wax once a lot of quantity, can not be used up for storage. The wax-enclosed scion was packed in a cloth bag and buried in the sand in the field. The depth of burial was 20-50 cm below the surface, and the storage time was as long as 10 days. It survived after grafting.
Fifth, grafting methods and time. Grafting method used abdominal connection. Grafting time starts from May 1 to May 30. The number of grafts was recorded at a time interval of 10 days. The survival number was investigated separately, and the grafting was performed without wax clad grafting.
Sixth, then management. Immediately after grafting, the root sprouts and sprouts of the rootstock were removed. And on June 15th, the survival rate of scion was investigated.
VII. Results and Analysis. On June 15th, the survival rate of scion was investigated.
From the field investigation, it was found that the survival rate of grafting with wax-sealed scion was high, and the survival rate without grafting wax was 0. The survival rate of grafting decreased after the end of May.
