The pressure differential causes a force that points from a high pressure to a low pressure. Under this force, the gas is made to flow to reach equilibrium. For sealed products, the outer casing will withstand this force. This force can cause the casing to deform and the seal to rupture, causing product failure.

3. Influence of low air pressure on electrical performance

The altitude increase increases the air pressure and affects the electrical performance of electrical and electronic products. Especially in the case of air as an insulating medium, the effect of low air pressure on the equipment is more significant. Under normal atmospheric conditions, air can be a good insulating medium, and many electrical products use air as an insulating medium. When these products are used in high-altitude areas or as airborne equipment, due to the decrease in atmospheric pressure, a partial discharge phenomenon is often generated near the electrode with a strong electric field, which is called corona. More seriously, air gap breakdown sometimes occurs. This means that the normal working state of the device is destroyed.
