At present, under normal weather conditions, there should be no problem with soil temperature. The key is that soil should not be too wet. The second is that the physiological age of seed potato is too old to cut into pieces. When the seed potato hairs are soft, the skin is wrinkled, and the germination is longer than 2 cm, the cuts are likely to cause rot. Third, seed potatoes less than 50 grams should not be cut. Fourth, due to the high temperature and humidity in summer sowing and autumn sowing, it is very easy to rot after seed cutting, generally not cutting. When cutting, remove carefully the sweet potato, the diseased potato and the delicate bud potato. The cutters must be disinfected to avoid the lack of seedlings due to disease transmission and chip rot caused by cuttings. Many diseases such as potato virus disease, late blight, bacterial wilt, and ring rot can be transmitted through knives.
