During the run-in period after overhaul of the engine, improper use may often result in a series of failures. In order to prevent the engine from “holding the cylinderâ€, the following points must be observed when using it: 1. The cooling water is not needed, the cooling system is working properly, and the lubrication system is working well. During the running-in period, do not increase the speed and do not overload. When the engine temperature increases, there is a tendency to slow down and stall, avoid increasing the throttle to increase the speed. At this point should immediately reduce the throttle, reduce speed or stop, let the engine rest, and then slowly increase the speed after the temperature dropped. 2. If the engine suddenly stops during operation, and the oil and circuit of the engine are normal, it is very likely that a "hold cylinder" has occurred. At this time, the engine needs to be cooled before processing. The specific method is as follows: Shake the engine slowly, if the engine does not move at this moment, do not force to shake, avoid pulling the piston or cylinder. To remove the spark plug or injector, or to open the decompression device, inject a small amount of engine oil into the cylinder, and then shake, until the engine can rotate freely. Start the engine again, idling for a few minutes, then gradually increase the speed, and wait until it is normal to work. After the engine has “held the cylinderâ€, it is forbidden to use the cooling water to flush the cylinder block so as to avoid cracks in the cylinder block due to sudden temperature drop. If the engine generates a serious "hold cylinder", it cannot be started or towed forcibly. It must be stopped immediately, and the engine repaired after cooling.
