Why is the phosphorus content in the soil exceeding the tomato deficiency

This year, some of the vegetable greenhouses of Shouguang tomatoes have already reached the fifth spike. But I do not know why, in the front of the greenhouse, there are many small purple spots on the front of the upper leaves of the plants, and the back is pale purple, the stems grow thin, the fruit enlargement is slow, the agricultural technicians say that this is caused by the lack of phosphorus in tomatoes. . Zhang Chang, a vegetable farmer, was very puzzled that he used 200 kg of phosphate fertilizer per acre before planting. The fertilization also contained phosphorus, which could fully meet the growing needs of tomatoes. Why are there symptoms of phosphorus deficiency in tomatoes? To this end, Master Zhang conducted soil testing at the Soil Fertilizer Testing and Research Center. After testing, the content of available phosphorus in soil was 579.51 mg/kg, which was much higher than the requirement of 120 mg/kg for the highest soil suitable content. Since the phosphorus content in greenhouse soil is sufficient, why are there symptoms of phosphorus deficiency in tomatoes?

After technical personnel investigation and analysis, find out the reasons. Some time ago, due to the relatively warm weather, some vegetable farmers were worried that the nighttime temperatures in the shed were too high, causing tomato growth, affecting flowering fruit setting and fruit development. So instead of putting all the straws down when putting them on, they left a piece to help disperse heat. As a result, the temperature of the shed's front face is always low, which affects the activity of the root system of the tomato, and the ability of the root system to absorb and utilize phosphorus is reduced, resulting in the phenomenon of phosphorus deficiency. As long as all grasshoppers are put down to ensure that the temperature is consistent before and after the greenhouse, the activity of the root system of tomatoes will be gradually restored after the local temperature rises, and the absorption and utilization of phosphorus will be enhanced. The symptoms of tomato deficiency will be resolved.

At present, vegetable farmers can reduce the symptoms of phosphorus deficiency by spraying foliar 0.2%-0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution. In addition, vegetable farmers must also pay attention to the fact that when the ground temperature rises, the available phosphorus content in the soil is too high, and there will be antagonistic interactions with zinc, iron and other trace elements in the soil, affecting their absorption, resulting in yellowing of the leaves. Therefore, we must pay attention to the use of zinc and iron fertilizers.
