How to prevent greenhouse eggplant deformities

The appearance of twins in eggplant is a fruit deformity caused by a physiological disease.

Prevention and control measures

1. Strengthen management. During the flowering and fruiting period, appropriate environmental conditions should be controlled, and reasonable irrigation and fertilization should be used to prevent excessive growth of nutrients. When the eggplant grows to the size of the egg, 15 to 20 kg of urea per acre is topdressed. As a result, nitrogen and potassium fertilizers should be reapplied in the peak season. Results In the later stage, 0.2% urea or 0.2% to 0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate can be sprayed.

2. Pay attention to temperature control during flowering. Generally, during the differentiation period of flower buds, the temperature during the day is about 30℃, and the temperature at night is 20℃~25℃, and the flower buds differentiate well.

3. The concentration of hormones used to preserve flowers and fruits should be strictly controlled.

4. When excessive fertilization or "twin eggplant" occurs, water-soluble liquid fertilizer can be sprayed to alleviate fertilizer damage.
