Why use zebrafish for screening?
Currently, zebrafish-based screening is welcomed as an alternative to mammalian screening due to cost, flux and ethical reasons.
Zebrafish has become a useful drug development model due to its high biological similarity to humans. In the study of individualology and organogenesis, its main organ system is very similar to humans, and the similarity between zebrafish and humans is as high as 70-80%.
Zebrafish are beneficial for screening because of their strong fertility, the ability of embryos to see the organ structure and the ease of genetic manipulation. Due to its small size, it can be placed in a microplate and treated with a compound. The phenotype can then be detected using a high content screening system.

• Metabolic Syndrome: Obesity (visceral obesity), dyslipidemia, fatty liver, disorders of glucose tolerance • Human cancer cell xenografts: tumor angiogenesis, distant metastasis • Circulatory diseases: heart failure, drug-induced heart rate disorders • central nervous system Systemic disorders: deafness, visual impairment, olfactory disorders, epilepsy, developmental disorders, sleep arousal disorders, muscular dystrophy (ALS)
