Using microorganisms to eat away waste and turn fertilizer

Recently, a new environmental protection technology that uses microorganisms to eat garbage has been applied in the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City, which uses the biochemical role of microorganisms to convert food waste into organic fertilizers. These fertilizers will be used for the transformation of the saline-alkali land in the Zhongxin Eco-city and will be recycled. It is understood that at present, this technology is at the leading level in China and has been used by the country to enter the project reserve bank.

A lot of leftovers, there is a big stick. These food wastes were put into containers and after 8 hours of microbial biochemical treatment they became dry powder. These dry powders are organic fertilizers that can improve the soil. On January 8, this reporter witnessed this process in Tianjin Coanda Technology Development Co., Ltd.

Feng Shaoqiang, the head of the company, told reporters that this fertilizer not only improves the soil, but also generates heat during the biochemical process, which is more conducive to plant growth. The treated soil can absorb the moisture and carbon dioxide in the air itself to achieve water saving and emission reduction. The soil itself will balance the nutrients needed by the plant such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, kill the harmful pests in the soil, and convert it into nutrients that the plant needs. This will not only gradually replace the increasingly abused inorganic fertilizer, but also reduce the already compacted soil into ecological soil, significantly reduce the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions. The Huigaozhuang agricultural project in Xiqing District uses this organic fertilizer to solve the problem of soil compaction and reduce the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

Another major feature of this technology is the proximity of garbage. The technology proposes a relatively centralized approach to suit the actual situation of the city, that is, set up small garbage disposal stations in restaurant streets, governments, schools, and hotels that generate relatively large amounts of garbage. Calculated on a device with a daily processing capacity of 50 kilograms, this device is suitable for medium-sized restaurants, and its investment is about 60,000 yuan. 50 kg of kitchen waste can produce 20 kg of organic fertilizer. At present, the price of organic fertilizer is about 5,000 yuan a ton. In principle, two years will be able to recover costs. “We are also exploring a business model that is: Selling to customer equipment, and then recycling its organic fertilizer, we then take it to improve the soil.” Feng Shaoqiang said.

Garbage piles, overflowing sewage, bad smells... Such garbage raids have always been an unsolvable urban disease. The characteristics of the Coenda Biological Waste Disposer in the nearest processing eliminate the need for garbage disposal and transportation, which has brought hope for solving the chronic illness that has long plagued people.

Feng Shaoqiang disclosed to the reporter that at present, the company has achieved breakthroughs in two aspects: first, to achieve breakthroughs in the cultivation of microbial strains, to cultivate highly efficient strains that can survive in high-salt environments and resurrect at room temperature, so that strains More adaptable, it provides a wider range of application for the decomposition of organic waste. Secondly, the successful development of a small kitchen waste disposal station has greatly reduced the cost of equipment and enabled high-end technologies to be widely used in the society to create conditions. The current cost reduction has reached 30%.
