Pea ash disease

Symptoms of pea sprouts planted in open field or sheds or back-season peas are susceptible to disease, mainly damage the leaves, stems and pods. The diseased leaves began from the leaf tip or the leaf surface. The water stains appeared at the beginning of the disease. After the illness, the moldy layer was gray, which was the conidiophore and conidia of the pathogen.

The pathogen Botrytis cinerea Person ex Fr. said Botrytis cinerea, a fungus belonging to the subphylum Fungi. The sexual state is Botryotinia fuckeliana (de Bary) Whetzel called Fusarium spores of the genus Ascomycota. The conidiophore stems emerge from the mycelia or sclerotium and are 12-24 μm thick, 280-550 μm long and vary in length and gray. Conidia nearly spherical, size 9-156.5-10 (μm). Small conidia sometimes form, colorless, 3um in diameter.

Transmission routes and onset conditions are summers or winters with mycelia, sclerotia, or conidia. Overwintering pathogens use mycelium to live in rot in the diseased body and continue to produce conidia for reinfection. When the condition is not suitable, the diseased part will produce sclerotia, and the survival period will be longer in the field. If suitable conditions are met, the mycelia will directly invade or produce spores, and will be spread by rainwater or spread along with the debris, water flow, airflow, farm tools and clothing. . Rotten sick pods, diseased leaves, disease tendrils, and declining sicknesses can be found in the Ministry of Health. Mycelial growth temperature limit of 4 - 32 °C, the optimum temperature of 13-21 °C, higher than 21 °C its growth decreased with increasing temperature, 28 °C plummeted. The sporulation temperature range of this bacterium is 1-28°C, and it needs high humidity at the same time; the germ spores can germinate at 5-30°C, and the optimum temperature is 13-29°C; the spore germination requires certain humidity, especially germination in water, and the relative humidity is low. It does not germinate at 95% spores. After the infection by the bacteria, the incubation period varies depending on the conditions, and sporulation occurs at 1 to 4°C for 1 month after inoculation and 7 days after inoculation at 2d°C. In the case of the survival of pathogenic bacteria in the production, as long as there is high humidity and temperature conditions of about 20°C, the disease becomes prevalent. The host of bacteria is more, the duration of the disease is long, the amount of bacteria is large, and prevention and control are more difficult.

Prevention and control methods Because of the rapid infestation of this disease and the long incubation period, it is easy to produce drug resistance. At present, the comprehensive prevention measures of ecological control, agricultural control and chemical prevention are mainly implemented. (1) Ecological control Shed rooms are built around reduced humidity. To increase the night temperature of the greenhouse and increase the ventilation time during the day, so as to reduce the humidity and the duration of condensation in the greenhouse to achieve the purpose of disease control. (2) Remove diseased plants in a timely manner and concentrate deeply or burn them. (3) The diseased strain was found to be sprayed with 50% Suo Ke Ling WP 1500-2000 times or 50% Nonnile WP 1000-1500 times, 50% Propionin WP 1000 times, 45 % Tectron suspension 4000 times, 50% mixed sulfur suspension 600 times. Every 7-10 days 1 time, depending on the condition to prevent 2-3 times. In the areas where resistance to the above fungicides has occurred, 65% buprenorphine wettable powder 1500 times or 50% polymyxin (carbendazim plus valeromycin) wettable powder 1000 times can be used. Pay attention to rotation and alternation of medications to delay drug resistance.
