International Names of Cosmetic Ingredient (INCI)

1. Each INCI name is only translated into a Chinese name, which strives to correspond to the INCI name.

2. The INCI name is the same as the drug name in the generic name of the People's Republic of China Pharmacopoeia and China Pharmaceuticals. Except for the names of individual medicinal excipients, the translation name is based on the Chinese name of the two materials.

3. The name of the Latin name or species of the plant is added in parentheses after the Chinese name of the plant material.

4. The Chinese name of some raw materials, including the common name of the raw materials. For example: Ascorbic acid (vitamin C).

5. In order to avoid the Chinese name being too verbose, some of the abbreviations in the INCI name are no longer translated but are directly referenced in the Chinese name. The full English name and Chinese translation of acronyms are shown in Table 2.

6. Polyesters, alkanols with a relatively large number of carbon atoms, cycloalkanols, alcohols containing aromatic nucleus, certain structurally complex alcohols, and phenolic acid esters, all with the same alcohol name or phenol The name is placed before the word.

In principle, esters of alkanols with small numbers of carbon atoms and acids will be placed in front of the "acid" after the "ester" and the word "alcohol" will be omitted.

7. The meanings, stems, roots, suffixes and their Chinese names specified in some professional naming rules in the INCI name are as follows:

(1) The professional naming convention for INCI names omit the word "Dimethyl" in alkyl dimethyl amine oxides.

(2) The professional nomenclature of INCI names usually defaults to the mono prefix "mono".

(3) There are some compound stems for the INCI name.

E.g:

Cetearyl stands for the synthetic stem of Cetyl and Stearyl, and Cetearyl Alcohol in China is named cetearyl alcohol.

Ceteareth- represents the synthesized stems of Ceteth and Steareth-, and Ceteareth-10 is named as ceteareth-10.

Cetoleth- represents the synthetic stem of Ceteth and Oleth-, and Ceteleth-8 in Chinese is called Cetyl Alcohol-8.

(4) The name of the lanolin derivative usually contains the root "LAN", translated as lanolin.

(5) The group and root "ampho" in the INCI name of the amphoteric surfactant is translated as amphoteric.

(6) Copolyol represents a polyoxyethylene and/or polyoxypropylene side chain in a polymer molecule, which is translated as copolyol.

(7) Stem "Acrylates" in linear non-crosslinked copolymers is translated into acrylics; stem "Crotonates" is translated into crotonic acid esters.

(8) The stem "Glyceride" is translated into glycerides, meaning that it is a monoglyceride; "Glycerides" is translated into glycerides, meaning that it is a mixed ester of mono-, di- and triglycerides.

(9) Ethoxylated alkanols with the suffix "eth", after the word "eth" is translated to "polyether" after the word stem, the number appended to the suffix indicates the average number of oxyethyl groups.

(10) Nonoxynol-n, Nonyl Nonoxynol-n, and Octoxynol-n are ethoxylated alkylphenols. "-n" represents the number of oxyethyl groups in the formula.

(11) Contain stems "monium", "dimonium", "trimonium" translated as methylammonium, dimethylammonium and trimethylammonium. Their chlorides, quaternary ammonium bromides, are translated into Chinese names with chlorination and bromination before ammonium.

(12) In the INCI name, some names of mixed fatty acids, fatty alcohols, fatty amines, and glycerides derived from animal oils or vegetable fats and oils, and stem names such as acyl and hydroxyl, and their Chinese names are the corresponding animal fats. Name or name of vegetable oil is translated.

Green Plum Wine is specially formulated by soaking the selected green plum produced in the Kuaiji Mountains after ripening, and adding wolfberry and hawthorn extracting solution. Osmanthus used in Osmanthus Wine was picked in Osmanthus forest with a history of more than 900 years.
