Duck temperature management in early spring brooding

Ducklings do not have a sound body temperature regulation function, and their ability to resist cold and heat is poor. Climate change can easily cause disease and death in young ducklings. Suitable room temperature during brooding is as follows:

1 to 3 days of age: duck, 28°C to 30°C; meat duck, 31°C to 33°C.

4 days to 6 days: Ducks, 26°C to 28°C; meat ducks, 28°C to 31°C.

7 days to 10 days: Duck, 22°C~26°C; meat duck, 22°C~28°C.

11 days to 15 days of age: ducks, 18 °C ~ 22 °C; meat ducks, 19 °C ~ 22 °C.

16 days to 21 days of age: ducks, 16 °C ~ 18 °C; meat ducks, 17 °C ~ 19 °C.

The outside temperature is low in early spring and night, and the brooding temperature should be 1°C~2°C higher than that during the day. When controlling the temperature, we should follow the rule that the duck's age grows from small to large, and gradually decrease. Avoid sudden changes in height and avoid excessive temperature difference. Due to the strong or weak constitution of ducklings and the difference in outside air temperature, there are also differences in humidity and ventilation conditions closely related to temperature. Therefore, it is best to observe the appropriateness of brooding temperature based on the spiritual status of ducklings.

When the temperature is too low, the ducklings are squeezed into piles, separated after artificial separation, and then re-stacked. At this time, the temperature should be appropriately increased. When the temperature is too high, the ducklings should open their mouths, keep away from heat, be restless, and increase the amount of drinking water. At this time, it should be appropriate. Cooling; when the temperature is appropriate, the ducklings spread out their activities, three or five in groups, lying silent after eating, stretching neck and stretching wings, showing a stretch of the state.
