There are new ways to raise cows

A lactation cycle of dairy cows can be roughly divided into early lactation, prolific lactation, late lactation and dry milk. Due to the different physiological conditions, production performance, and feeding conditions of dairy cows, the requirements for feeding and management are also different. Here are some new ways to raise cows. 1. According to the “Feeding by Milk” method, cows in the late stage of lactation should be fed with silage and roughage every day to meet their normal physiological needs. They should also feed 1 kg of mixed concentrate to every 3 kg of milk produced by cows. This method of raising is called the "feed by milk" method. “By milk feeding” can prevent some cattle farmers from blindly increasing the amount of concentrate feeds in pursuit of the high yield of dairy cows. 2. "Preliminary" feeding method Starting from 15 to 20 days after the cows' delivery, in addition to feeding the cows with a sufficient quantity of roughage, on the basis of "feeding by milk," feed 1 to 1.5 kg of mixed essence every day. Feed, as a "pre-branch" feed to increase milk production in dairy cows. During the entire period of lactation, the amount of concentrate feed increases as the milk production of dairy cows increases, until the milk production no longer increases. This feeding method is called "pre-branch" feeding, also known as short-term superior feeding. This method is suitable for cows in the early lactation and lactation. 3. "Challenge" rearing method: In the dry feeding period of dairy cows, the normal feeding amount (feeding amount of dry feed during the dry period of dairy cows is 1.8 to 2.5 kg per day), and from the two weeks before the cows' delivery, the daily increase of 0.45 kg. In the mixed concentrate, the amount of concentrate feed can reach 0.5% to 1% of its body weight. After the delivery, if the cow's physique is normal, 0.45 kilograms of the mixed concentrate can be added on a daily basis before feeding, until the cow's milk production no longer increases. In addition to the addition of concentrate feed, it is also necessary to increase the amount of roughage fed so that the amount of roughage fed is not less than 0.5% of its body weight. When adopting this method to raise cows, it is necessary to guide the training of cows to feed concentrate before the cows are delivered, so as to prepare for a large amount of concentrate after the delivery. Feeding high-energy, high-protein concentrates to cows for a certain period of time after delivery can effectively reduce energy consumption and maximize milk production potential. This feeding method is suitable for feeding high-yield dairy cows from the first two weeks before farrowing to the end of the lactation peak.
