Occurrence and Control of Hot Pepper Tea Astragalus

Astragalus membranaceus is one of the more serious pests that harm vegetables. In recent years, the damage to vegetables has become increasingly serious. Its food habits are very complex and its host plants are extensive. There are more than 70 species of known hosts. The main damage is cucumber, eggplant, pepper, potatoes, tomatoes, melons, beans, celery, edible fungus, radish and other vegetables. The prevention and control methods for saponin tea on pepper are described below:

First, the hazard characteristics

The back of the pepper was stained with oil on the back and gradually turned yellow-brown or gray-brown. The edge of the leaf curled downwards. The young stem became brownish-brown. The plants suffered serious dwarfs, twigs, falling flowers and falling fruit, formed baldness, pedicel and fruit. Sharp yellowish-brown, dull, stagnant and hardened fruit.

Second, the morphological characteristics

Females have a body length of about 0.21 mm, an oval shape, light yellow to orange-yellow, translucent, and 5 pairs shorter. The male carcass is approximately hexagonal, conical at the end, smaller than females, about 0.18 mm in length, pale yellow to orange-yellow, translucent, and long and thick.

Third, living habits

It takes 7 to 10 days to complete the generation at 20°C to 30°C, and it can occur throughout the year in a greenhouse. Chaetoceros is mainly male and female, and parthenogenesis can also be performed. However, unhatched eggs have low hatching rates and are all male. The eggs were sparsely distributed on the back of the young leaves and in the depressions of the fruit. The adult nymphs and larvae showed tenderness, especially on the back of the young leaves. The optimum temperature for the growth and reproduction of the tea plant was 16 °C ~ 23 °C, and the relative humidity was 80% ~ 90%. High temperatures inhibit its reproduction, and heavy rain can reduce the population of insects.

Third, prevention and control measures

1. Strengthen the field investigation, find the tea leaves in the early flowering period of peppers, and spray them in time. After that, spray once every 10 to 14 days, and spray three times in succession.

2. The focus of spraying is upper leaves, especially on the back of tender leaves, tender stems, flower organs and young fruit. Available pharmaceuticals include 57% Kotel EC 800 times, 48% Loester EC 1500 times.
